Hey now.......it's people doing things like this that give people who own offroad vehicles a bad name. Just find some trails to go on - get with some other experienced drivers.

I am glad your wife was not efacing and can keep the little bugger in till he/she is ready to come out. My kids all tried to make early appearances.

Thank you for the kind words. I do not normally climb over curbs, maybe that was why it seemed like fun. I also do not get much time to hit the trails but that is the plan soon. The first thing I did with the truck is take it above 14,000 feet and go get married. I did not want to make a bad name, I just saw an easy way to solve a problem and it got a little more complicated after that. I'm a nice guy, anfd I am not trying to make trouble. I still need to learn that there will always be people who think it is construtive to poke at someone. Thanks again slangel. I am glad that you had no complications. I am hoping for the same

Shawn, some of these guys might be blunt & come across a bit crass but many of them know what they are talking about when it comes to off-roading. Don't take personal offense, read & learn. I know first hand that CVC is no dick & has been a tremendous help to me.

You gotta admit showing off in a parking lot is kind of gay to begin with, and irresponsible to the sport, in retrospect I think you realize it. You have to expect some negative comments if you post something like that on a heavy off-roading forum.

Look guys, I was not showing off to anyone. There was not one person around when I did this at all. I thought I would get that better spot and my wife could walk a short distance instead of waiting in the sun with the kids while I go get the truck and take longer. I did enjoy it initially but this is because I never get to climb over anything. I promise I will never show off to anyone in my truck, especially on curbs. Thank you everyone for the advise, I will take it positive or negative. I am sorry if I offended anyone in any way. I am just a guy who loves his new truck, and is new to the whole off road scene to be honest. I joined here to learn, and that is what I am doing. Believe me when I tell you , I have been beating myself up about it since it happened. Before I got flamed up. Lesson learned.

Thermal is 3" cat back $550 exhoust for DSMs . I have ATR ( cheaper ) with different mufler making it a unique sound .

So I'm gessing it's not Thermal exhoust . What is it ? under that DSM

Ah thats what you mean LOLz Naw I got the cheap 3" slight bends but crush bent. I have it hugging the middle of the car to avoid sharp bends. I have some mandrel bent 3" U bends that I plan to chop up and make my next system with but I need a welder. This will be good for now, I have a nice Buschur Racing 3" down pipe and I stuck an Apexi muffler on the rear. It was from the Dunk system I believe. This next week I put in my motor, its another 6-bolt but I have all forged internals, and ARP studs Throughout. I also picked up a 16G, Dejon tool intake pipe with 2G MAF and wallboro fuel pump. The head has a port and polish, 5 angle valve job and HKS cams, 264 intake 272 exhaust for a decent idle. Those are topped off with HKS adjustable cam gears. Should make for a hell of an upgrade from stock on a 14b at 17psi to the 16G at 20+psi on the built motor.

It doesnt look like it was a super strong made piece to begin with.
...and is that a tear in the metal in the 2nd picture from the hit?

It will be interesting to see how many more of those start getting torn up as more and more LR3s hit the trails. Might be a potential after market HD item some vendor might think about making if more and more of those start getting jacked up that easily.

Yeah no doubt! The tear was from the hit and is on both sides like that. It was low speed, but the weight of the truck went down on it I'm pretty sure. It seems too easy for something to come up through the frame rails and smack it. I am so glad the exhaust was not smashed up. My friends on my import forum noticed how close it was and I saw the scratches on it today. The cross member is a bit lower than the rest of the frame down there. Its heavy like a mofo though. You could weld handles on it and use it for a battering ram. I was thinking very hard about it the night after it happened, and I might fab up a skid plate for it that inclines up on each side kinda like the front. That way if something hits it again, I could slide over it or sort of wedge over it.

Thoughts? Feedback?

Cool that you got the LR runing .

BTW I dynoed 279lbs and 271hp at the wheels with Big 16G at 18psi , 2.5" Down pipe 3" ATR with highflow cat, 2g mass, 550cc injectors , Spooling up AFPR ( no longer manufactured ) , Head clean up of casting and polished to mirror with the 2G exhoust manifold and turbo exhoust housing all cleaned up and polished ( port mached ) , None turbo intake cam, factory 1990 exhoust cam ( the 93 cam is better ) , Super AFC , Isusu NPR Interculer . And with my motor at 125k and pistor 2 and 4 at 100psi compretion ( Ouch!! ) and 150 psi on piston 1 and 4 .

BTW all work ( 99.999% ) was done at my house with out any help eccept from my dad .

BTW I don't know why i had more torque then HP , when everybody that day had more HP then torque . BTW that dyno tune sucked . the car would back fire and fall on it's face when on the high way boosting only 2-5psi . I do not recoment anyone going to the shop in millford CT on the post road .
