Importing a Disc 3 Diesel Into US - Land Rovers Only

Hi All,

I'm interested in importing a diesel Disco 3 from the UK into the US. I've been jumping around with LR US, LR UK, Customs, and the DMV to determine if this is possible / legal. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance.

This topic has been raised so many times, albeit by people wanting a Defender, it's getting long in the tooth. Until it's 25 years old, you're SOL.

couldn't you buy one in central america and just drive it up and in. Put plate on it before you hit the border and drive home with the steering wheel on the correct side. If you can afford to bring one in from the UK I would assume you could afford to slide one in from the south get a title from a wrecked one, It would not be all that hard. I have thought of doing that with a 110. the hairiest part would be the drive to the border. Which in reality would be a true Land Rover experience. Don't knock it just because it may be a bit gray as law is concerned
