Default looking at 08" LR3...got some ?'s

hey guys, new here. im considering an 08 lr3 hse. i have a couple questions.

well, first off i will be leasing the vehicle. the truck is sweet! the main thing that concerns me the most is my test drive.

the wheel was vibrating ect. i mentioned something and the salesman started to make stuff up.lol anyway i did some searching and it looks like its somewhat of a problem on these things?

what kind of real world gas mileage is everyone getting?

thanks

dont expect to get great gas mileage. Rovers have never had great gas mileage.

steering wheel could be an out of balance tire.

if your leasing it go with a se, its cheaper and you dont get that much on top.

Werd to that ^ I get about 14 to 16 in the city. I use Lucas oil, and also keep on top of my maintenance like you would not believe. As for the shaking, yeah like Rovin said it could be an un-balanced tire. They have some dummies for slaesmen there it sounds like! I have never had any problems like that, besides a little noise and cupping from the GY tires they put on these in 05'.

Yes! Please lease.

After you have paid all the depreciation and handed it back, I'll come in & buy it still under warranty for the 1/2 the new price

yes, leasing is great for me. i get a new car every 2 years. a lot less to worry about if something should "happen" (speaking in life terms, job health ect.) i dont have to worry about selling it. the most important. i can lease a lot more expensive of a vehicle than i would ever personally want to pay to own it.

Leasing is actually a pretty sweet deal on LR3s, especially if you can deduct part of your payments. I got our '06 (V8 SE-Tech, Light, Cold-Air) for $0 drive-off and $549 a month (pre-tax, with no haggling-Edmunds). Those are Pilot numbers. The buy-out price is $35K after 30months, however, so we will most likely turn it back-in. I was trying to buy used, but you could almost buy a new LR3 for what used ones were going for at the time.

With a LRNA certificate, you should be able to buy an '07 for $10K off MSRP relatively easily. Has to be one of the best deals in the automotive world.

its all about residual! just like trying to buy a used bmw or audi. its almost rediculous how much they are used. but thats why leasing them is so attractive....

the vibrations are coming from the tires. My Discovery drove like sh** on its first test drive. The tires weren't balanced and they were starting to dimple from sitting in the same spot on the lot for over a month in the summer heat. I made the dealership put on a new set of tires before I purchased the vehicle and the ride turned out to be as smooth as butter after.
