Lr 3 - Land Rovers Only

I bought a 05 lr 3 everything is working fine up to now that the tailgate stop working, i did everything it says on the book but nothing works and it does makes the noise like if you were going to open the tailgate. i would like to know what can i do to fix it?

probably needs a latch, you have to break the plastic to access it. not fun either.
