Default LR 3 - Auto-Dimming Rear View Mirror

Mine seems not to work (since I picked the car up), I had the same problem on the Porsche once. I have checked fuse 69 and it seems to be ok. I guess I should have a small light illuminated at the base of the rear view mirror ? There is not a separate on/off switch right ?

Did you try cycling through the menus (press the button on the end of the turn signal/dimmer switch) on the in dash LED? I remember seeing the auto dipping side mirrors controls there, don't know off hand about the auto dimming rear.

Default The mirror is probably not working,,,,,

I have the same problem with the mirror,,, it doesnt work. When i was in for service i had the service department check the mirror because i was sure it didnt do anything to make my eyes more comfortable at night.

Sure enough, it didnt and a new one is on order. Even the service manager had second thoughts about his demo and sure enough, his didnt work either.

So I recommend that you have your service department check it. If they say it works, have them show you how they test it.

Best of Luck.

We had an inoperative one the other day, it wasn't the mirror, but a wirting issue. It had no power at the mirror plug itself. If a mirror fixes yours, I'd like to know, perhaps we should stock one.mm

Default Hello frickjp

My appointment is on Monday January 16th. As far as the mirror goes, it appears to be powered as the on/off light illuminates and the homelink buttons work properly.

I will let you know how it goes either way.

Default Auto Mirror Fixed

Well, appointment went well and had mirror replaced. Sure enough it now works. Its not as dark as other make mirrors, but there is a definite improvement on the glare reduction at night.
