Default LR3 commuter car?

is it a good idea to use an lr3 for say a 50 mile a day commute. plus as a play vehicle. i test drove one today, and i felt like a G! except i experienced some shift shock. thought that wouldve been terminated by this time. i dunno tho. its no caddy. whatdya think, good buy? are these very dependable? or am i gonna be fixing shit often. or how much will the warranty help?

It would be fine as a daily driver I drove my old rangie as a daily driver for years. It just depends on how deep your pockets are for gas money.

On the warranty I would try to get a LR3 that is certified pre-owned as that comes with a Rover backed warranty.
