A friend of mine bought one a month ago and left 3 days ago towing a caravan across Australia from Perth to Cairns and back. When he gets back I will let you know how the car went,fuel economy etc he keeps acurate tabs on his fuel usage so it should be interesting. By the way it is a 2.7 diesel auto

Well, my experience has been this...every guy I've met that has one says, "Damn, I wish my wife would let me do that to this one" when they see my truck. And I have a 96. You should see the look on the wives' faces when they see me roll up next to their LR3 and talk to their hubby! Lifted, big tyres, dirty.
 The husband always looks back sheepishly at his wife.
