LR3 wheels to Hurricane's

Hi all. I have an LR3 too and want to change my wheels. I have an option to buy some old Hurricane RIMs that fit the Disco II, more specifically this tire size: 255/55/R18.

I like the Hurrican Rim and have some questions to the experts:
1. Will those Hurricane Rims fit my LR3? Again, they are coming off a 2001 Disco II

2. The wheels from the Hurrican Rims have about half the life left on them and am thinking about taking my old tires off (19's) from my current rim and adding to the Hurricane rims (which currently have 18's). Will those fit?

No and no.

The Hurricaine rims do not have a large enough axle bore....and you can't put tires for a 19" rim on an 18" rim.

Yep, the hub diameter is smaller for the D2. You could get them machined to fit but is probably prohibitively expensive.

You can only put tires on the size wheel they are made for.
