Hey all -
I have a 2007 LR3 and I have two navigation questions. 1) Is there a way to set the screen to default to the off position when I start the landy? 2) Is there a way to override the navigation safety feature that requires me to put the landy in park before I can enter a destination? I'd like to be able to enter new address while driving down the interstate. Pulling over and stopping is not always an option. Thanks |

Great question, especially No. 1. If I turn the screen off around town, when I start the car again I shouldn't have to turn the screen off again.
I had a Garmin, and compared to it, the LR3 nav system's user interface is awful, and so is the manual. How do I: Mark current position without using the voice system? Find the marked current position later and change it's name (I think the LR3 remembers it as the address the car was at, instead of naming it "Marked Position 01" or something)? Set HOME position? Change HOME position? Find POIs near my destination? Change to a Day/Night mode (the Garmin's screen is white on black at night)? Show what address I'm at? Change units to metric? Have an "attention tone" chime when the voice guidance is off, to remind me to look at the screen? |
