Default Opinions on the 08 LR3 or...

Heaven forbid I say it, an 07 Land Cruiser. My 01P38 RR has been good to me for the most part but now its time for something new. I'm really a 20% of the time trail wheeler on a weekend and daily driver, now with small kids in tow. Been a LR owner for 12+ years.

I'm looking at 08 LR3s and a couple 07 Land Cruisers (they're difficult to come by). The loyalty and satisfaction with my dealer appeal to another LR but I keep a car 5-6 years and put another 100k miles on them. The reliability and longterm cost/value of the Cruiser is an attractive pull right now with so much else in life going on.

Whatever it is, my plan is I would like to mod it a little, maybe a winch bumper. definitely AT tires (actually if its an LR3, the goodyears wont make it 2 days after purchase)

All comments welcome?

Donk the stock Goodyears and add another Rover to the family. My grandmother always said" Never be afraid to buy the best, you wont regret it." The LR3 is the better of the two and you know thats the route you want to go....

I am split really, the Cruiser reliability is what's pulling me away. Although I feel like I've cheated on something. As for the 08 LR3s, how would the reliability be over say a 5yr 100k mile period? Any comparisons with previous LR ownership? What I've read regarding the 05 and 06, it doesn't sound like its any different.

LR3 by far... Drive one off-road and it will decide for you.
