I purchased an 05 LR3 a couple months ago... and something has been bugging me... WTF are the plastic tabs on my windshield.. There are two tabs, one on the lower left, and one of the lower right (on the inside of the windshield)
Anyone know what they are for? ![]() Thanks... Adam |

Thats an over seas thing, so that you can place a parking sticker under it and easily remove it. That is what my customers tell me, some other cars like mercedees have this also makes no sense to me... And i have been in the Auto Glass, Auto Glass Repair, and Windshield Replacement service business for 15 years...

They are pretty handy, but if a card slips out it falls behind the dash never to be seen again. I lost a close-to-full coffee punch card that way. I think the clips were discontinued after 2005.

I have had two windshield replacements on mine, and both times, I had to be sure that they tightened up the clips. They work really well for day passes, but often they are too loose. The have to remove the decorative moulding on the pillar post to tighten them.
