Purchasing new keys - Land Rovers Only

We just purchased a 2005 and it only came with one key. I called the dealership and they said it would cost $420----FOR ONE KEYLESS ENTRY REMOTE! I found an uncut key on ebay eBay Motors: UNCUT 2005 2006 2007 LAND ROVER LR3 KEYLESS REMOTE KEY (item 180254197488 end time Jun-22-08 01:16:16 PDT) and wondered if anyone has purchased a new key outside of the dealership? The dealership said they would charge $140 (one hour of labor) to program the remote. Wow! It's just a key!!!

I don't have anything to tell you on the key from ebay but I wish you luck.

Oh and don't lose that key it only gets worse and a lot more expensive...

no, there key is a special key that is only cut by land rover. then the vehicle needs to be programmed with all keys.

go ask the guy for the key whom you bought it from. its alot of money and personally without two keys you have to drop the price quite a bit ahead of time.
