Hi all,
I've seen a lot of recommendations that people buying used LR3s get an extended warranty. I currently have an '05 that is just about out of the factory warranty and I'm trying to decide if I should keep the vehicle or not...and based on the offer I got from Carmax I am NOT going to sell it to them. If I keep it, I think I need to get that extended warranty, but I'm not sure which one. Do most people just get the one offered by LR? Or is there a better deal out there that provides sufficient coverage and convenience? Thanks, jds |

Carmax isn't bad to buy from but pointless to try to sell to as they usually offer a few thousand below trade in. They say they offer wholesale. Other than that I'm no help

Check with LRNA and see what you can get. It may be a bit pricey but see what it covers. I was lucky I got mine CPO with the warranty out to 75K. I figure by that time what should have broken at least once would have. (And I would of found a cheaper place to source parts)

I have heard the factory is like 6k now but can not confirm that. what all has to go wrong to sink that much in. Id put the cash in a savings and just have it their for repais and when you get ready to sell it chances are their will be cash still in the account
