Default Recommended Extended Warranty?

Hi all,

I've seen a lot of recommendations that people buying used LR3s get an extended warranty. I currently have an '05 that is just about out of the factory warranty and I'm trying to decide if I should keep the vehicle or not...and based on the offer I got from Carmax I am NOT going to sell it to them. If I keep it, I think I need to get that extended warranty, but I'm not sure which one. Do most people just get the one offered by LR? Or is there a better deal out there that provides sufficient coverage and convenience?

Thanks,
jds

Carmax isn't bad to buy from but pointless to try to sell to as they usually offer a few thousand below trade in. They say they offer wholesale. Other than that I'm no help

Check with LRNA and see what you can get. It may be a bit pricey but see what it covers. I was lucky I got mine CPO with the warranty out to 75K. I figure by that time what should have broken at least once would have. (And I would of found a cheaper place to source parts)

The Doctor: Excellent. Blow up that vehicle.

If you are going to keep it, go factory only. There are few after market companys that sell Rover coverage any more, and most of them won't pay if you have a problem.

Ok, LandRover is offering a $1,000 rebate for purchasing the LR extended warranty from your dealer. I just got mine taking the warranty out to 100k miles!

I have heard the factory is like 6k now but can not confirm that. what all has to go wrong to sink that much in. Id put the cash in a savings and just have it their for repais and when you get ready to sell it chances are their will be cash still in the account
