If you wanted to get a faster truck you shouldve bought a RR Sport Supercharged.
No one is going to support it as long as there is a Super charged engine out there. |

If money is truly no object, then bring it to me. I'll swap in a RRS 4.2 with superchargers all cranked up. It'll cost more than the truck by a factor of 2-5 or so, but it'll work.

Same engine bay, trust me the RRS is the same model platform as the LR3.
but you need everything under the sun including all the modules and the tranny and a world of other stuff. Dude you got three hundred horsepower. Thats more then alot of the SUVs already out there. IN fact that is the same hp as the X5 and the Mark Three RR. The only place you can get something from is Overfinch. They are the only place that does LR right. Other than that its a real crap shoot. Its mostly aftermarket guys that put on a cold air intake and change your PCM retuning so it looks like your getting a hell of alot more power. Truth is these guys don't use a dyno after rebuilding your LR. I have even been told by these honyacks that its up to the customer to see how much power they get. Its not their job to do any real testing or checking their work. |

You CAN turbo an LR3.. from your term "Disco 3" I'm guessing that you're in G.B. or Europe somewhere? STS is where I got mine. I have a 2008 LR3 HSE and Put an STS Turbo on it... Super fast with no turbo lag... the install kits run $1900 US to $2900 US.. They had 3 sets in about $500 increments. Get the $1900 one because you'll have to measure the tubes before you cut them anyway. Their website is STSTurbo.com I had to install a turbo in mine. I live in Colorado in the mountains 11,000+ feet above sea level in Summit County.... You loose 33% HP up here.. To NOT void your warranty you MUST have it installed by your Dealer... They will do it but they'll charge you like 5 hours and it should only take 2 at the most! Try to talk them down. The videos in the STS site are cool... they engineered it to maintain boost but NOT overheat... the site will explain everything. Mine clears 0-60 in under 6 easily... I'd love to hear how fast they run at sea level.

Yeah just what we need someone with a 7500lb box on wheels that can do low 13's on a quarter mile while eating half a tank of gas...

Hi Chris, the STS Turbo boosts gas mileage on the LR3 abouit 7 miles per gallon... it really is great on mileage... I agree with you... noone should be racing these things... however if it has the "ability" to have a boost via the turbo, then it won't work as hard under normal conditions. Most folks where I live add turbos to their rigs to make up for the massive loss in oxygen which kills our HP output by 100hp or so... without the STS Turbo the LR3 is a dog (at elevation, we're talking 10,000 feet above sea level) I think this other guy needs to be racing a GTI or an RS4 or something and using in Rover to go off road (slowly)
