Default Terra Grappler Owner...

The dealer is telling me that I should absolutely run 42 psi in the rear, though the Terra Grapplers state not to fill the tires beyond 40 psi. My tyre sensors are complaining about it too. How/what have you done to overcome this?

I don't want to overfill my brand new tires and cause improper wear but also don't want to defeat the sensors as I would like to know when/if my tires are low.

Thoughts?

You can definately fill over 42 psi. If you read that warning again it will say "Do not inflate over 40 psi WHILE SEATING THE BEADS". They are referring to tire installation warnings required by DOT.

Off road in 19's there is a reason they don't make them that size...they make an off road spinner application, then you can bling all the way down the trail..............OK KIDDING! lighten up! Really...tho...19's...great for show and tell... GO STEELIES! Wait on a LR3? I'm not use to seeing them off raod yet, I guess...

19's just don't have enough sidewall for serious offroad driving. Better to keep them for onroad driving with a set of Synchrones, and switch to 18's with a set of Cooper Zeons for the offroad trips .... IMHO...
