Default Towing electrics, sockets

Hi Forumites,
I've been towing my camper tyrailer with my D3 a couple of times now. I use the black electric plug on the R/H side, there is a white covered plug on the left, what is this one for? I can't find any reference in the owners manual telling me what this is for or does. Any ideas out there?
Thanks in anticipation for any answers recieved.

It's likely twin electrics, white one would keep camper electrics running/charging.
