We got that list a few weeks ago. But that was really for RRS and new LR3. ANd to be honest I dont think the Goodyear Snow tires will hold up long in San Diego weather. Until the Mtrs become available try the nittos like they suggested.
The only other thing you could try is Nokia snow tires with studs on them. |

The problem with most off-road-like tires is the thin sidewalls. I only use the BFG T/A KO's for their 3ply sidewalls. What kind of sidewalls do these Nikkos have? Once you've blown one on a mild rock interaction, you won't use skinny rubber anymore.
Too bad Goodyear is so unresponsive to the Land Rover's needs. Especially owners of the Range Rover Sport. |

Think, apparently you are not aware that 16"
rims will not fit on any current Land Rovers. The brakes are too big for them. It's a shame, cause I really would like them.

I just got a 2003 disco.... Yes, the tires do suck. I was planning on the OME lift and 265's as well to prepare for a trip over rubicon this summer.... 16" wheels will not clear the brakes? Looks like they should. Anyone know for sure? Being a Jeep guy the last 16 years I am trying to sponge up as much info on these rigs as I can. Impressed so far, but not liking the center diff lock substitute aka traction control. I hear it's fine and then I hear it is totally worthless..... Only had it a week so I have not had a opportunity to go play with it. This Snow the past week and our hills it has done very well.

The Nitto's have a triple sidewall like the BFG tires.
Cooper STT's fit 18's, and are pretty knarly, very similar to BFG MT's. BFG also makes AT's in 18", and I have seen a few LR3's with them. tight fit, but can be done The General Grabber AT2 and the Nitto Terra Grappler are pretty close in tread aggressiveness. I have a buddy with the AT2's on a Disco 2 with 18's I run the Terra Grapplers on my LR3 and they have been everywhere and back and have done great. They would be just fine for the Rubicon. They handle rocks and dirt and extreme sidewall conditions quite well. Big asterisk here though: I have no idea how they do in serious mud. I have only been in light mud and deep water, no problems with either. If you want an agressive tire that rides good, the BFG MT or the Nitto Mud Grappler would be the way to go. If you just want a really agressive tire, the Cooper STT might be good. TN-LR3 ran those for a short while before he gave his truck to his mom (and got himself a Defender!) |

cooper STT 275/65/r18 and maxxis buckshot mudder 265/75/r18, And instead of giving the car to my mom we sold it because she hated those tires, but i loved those tires on it. And she bought an HSE instead, but if you want good mud tires for the 18's the coopers are the way to go but they are about 32.2 inches tall

The 265/65/18 will fit on a P38. It's the same with and diameter tire as a 265/75/16. www.rangerovers.net has a nice article on tire sizes and fit on the P38.
I would not put 265/65/18's on a P39 with EAS, because you may not be able to drive due to excessive rubbing if (when) an air spring would blow. www.rangerovers.net said the same about fitting 285/60/18 Nitto Terra Grappler tires to the P38. The 285/60/18 has about the same diameter as the 265/65/18 tires. My wife's 2000 P38 has the coil conversion kit, with Old Man Emu springs, for about a 1" lift. The 265/65/18 tires fit, but rubbed a little, so I had to trim some of the plastic in the front fender wells. |

My M/T's rubbed really bad when my air sus, went out..... I mean really bad. And I have had it blow before with stock tires and no rubbing, but these rubbed. The coopers are great tires though, I think i'm gonna sell my BFG at's and buy some coopers for my D-90...lol I'm not a big fan of at's
