I just purchase an 18x9 wheel for my 95 classic with a 2 inch lift and spring from rovertyme. I pust 285/55/18 tires on them and drove 30 miles on half tank of gas and I had to refill.
What I am trying to figure out is? what will be the best size of tires on this wheel that will not burn lots of gas. Remember that most importantly I am trying to stay close to factory height and revolution. 285/55/18 is wider and shorter in height. 265/60/18 is less wider but taller. |

by my calculations, the 285-55-18 has a marginally smaller overall height. If you're going for mileage, the 265 may be the better choice. 30 miles on half tank u say? something seems wrong and i don't think its the tyres
18" on a classic...nice put some pics up when u can, i'd really like to see. |
