Default 20 Inch And Tires

Hello all I am new to the Land Rover world but not new to off roading. For years I have wanted a Rover and I finally got one! 2006 LR3 with 22000 miles.
My question is I want to put some 20 inch wheels with all terrain tires. I have seen on some wheel websites that they suggest a 265 50 20... I was wondering how this will affect the Rover's suspension and ride heights?
Thanks in advance.

If you're going to do any serious off-roading I would not recommend a 20" wheel.

don't put 20s on an Lr3. if you want bigger wheels on your LR3 then put on the factory 19" rims.

OK OK OK!! Haha I have gotten flamed pretty bad for the 20 inch deal by some friends... The 20's and all terrains are simply for looks that is it. I will be getting a set of 16 steel wheels for off roading.

no 16s will not fit on an LR3's brakes. if i'm not mistaken 18s are as small as you can go. maybe 17s, but i doubt it.

If it's just for looks why not go for 24s and all the shiney, spinny stuff

HAHA I have been thinking and I spent the money on a capable beautiful off road vehicle with the refinements to be comfortable on road....soooooo That being said I have changed my mind I want to keep the stock 18's and have them powdercoated black (I think that would look good with my color Tonga Green) and get some 285 60 18 all terrrains. Let me know what you think about this! Will I have to do any modifying at all to the rig?

I see that you are in Auburn, AL. I am in Starkville, MS. Are there any land rover get togethers around these parts?
