Default 215/85R16 versus 245/75R16, need recommendations

I need to put a new set of tires on my '96 Disco XD and I'm not sure what size I want to put on it yet. I'm putting 1" spring spacers in for now and was looking at either a 245/75R16 or 215/85R16. The truck will be driven a lot in the snow during the winter and will be driven off road a reasonable amount, but probably nothing too extreme (for now). I would peg it at 75% highway/road, 25% off road or so. What size would be better given my intended use? As an alternative, should I think about going a bit larger to a 235/85R16 or is that too much without regearing/trimming the body? I do not want to trim the body on this truck right now. Thanks in advance for the input.

narrower is better for snow, have you thought about two sets. i have had great performance with the bridgestone winter duelers. i have a set of 18" terra grapplers for summer use, but i am switching to 245/75r16 next summer. i have had bad luck with the terra grapplers.
good luck.

I'd love to run two different sets, but I don't think my wife would be as enthusiastic. I'm just going to go with a good AT tire that will do well in the snow and well in most off road situations except gnarly mud. I don't plan to do a lot of mud with this truck anyway.
