NO. But add a locker and stock tires are too big for stock axles.

That is the size I run man!!!!! All stock parts........ and 10 spline also..... I have done a lot of abuse.... You will be fine.....
![]() My buddy Ryan has 33 x 12.5 on stock axles and goes everywhere I do!!! no problem for him.. He has to rev higher on steep climbs.... But taller gears will eventually fix that!!! ![]() |

Depends on how you drive. Ive got ARB 10 spline lockers Front and rear in my 89 RRC, 4:10 gears, and stock 10 spline axles with 34 x 10.50 LTB swampers. I use the lockers selectively and stay off the skinny pedal unless I need it. So far (about 6 months) I havent had any issues. I do carry spare axles, cvs, etc but no problems. One thing to keep in mind is here in FL we dont have the same issues as rock crawlers. Our terrain is mostly mud so the axles are not as stressed as in other terrain. Gordo

Good point Gordo about the terrain, round here the opposite is true. I have a bunch of spare axles for your rig if you are interested, cheap too.

It depnds on:
a) terrain b) do you want to hack the body work or lift the vehicle Personally I'd go for something a little wider. A popular size here in the UK is a 31.10.50 R15 However it all depends what you are going to be using the vehicle for. I actually run 33.11.50 R15's (see sig). But rock crawling is pretty rare in the UK, we do mainly mud plugging. So the requirements and stresses on components is very different.
