Default 255/85/16 on D2 16"s

Quick question to all of you..

So i picked up a set of D2 16"s from a junkyard yesterday and have them listed in the classifieds. BUT a local guy is offering me a set of 255/85/16 Dunlop Radial Rovers with good tread and a few hairline cracks on sidewalls for cheap.

Will these fit? Any issues with a 3" OME lift?

Should i pass up on the tires? (they are $50)

if you have the stock front bumper , plan on trimming the lower balance cause they will rub ( those tires are 33+ ) but if you hardly wheel ( or can live with the rubbing ) go for it

I wound up getting the tires... He noticed some offroad stuff I had and I made him a fair trade.

Looking at the tires now.. they are 255/85/16.

My only concern is my axles. Does anybody with stock axles and gears run a 34" when wheeling?

Been running 255/85's for going on 4 years with True Tracs front and rear on stock axles with no breakage. Yes, I wheel.

Save me the trouble of looking for their website. Do they say :We DO NOT make 255x85R 16, or do the just not list it?
These tires were not in stock, but the supplier called their Tennessee plant, where they were made, and he had them in about 2 weeks, because they do not run them that often. They aren't a year old, and I just called my tireguy, and he said he can get them made anyime.

damn. touchy, touchy. i didn't say i don't believe you have those tires. you called your tire guy but couldn't type in dunlop tires, haha. their website dosn't say we don't make that tire size. but it does not list that size in their tire size finder, neither when you click on an individual tire does it list that size available, that tells me they don't have them. but maybe special order? like i said maybe they quit recently, manufactures lineups do tend to change.

Actually, I called him about an engine he asked for. He's a close friend, and we only talk 6-8 times a week. Most tire website list commonly run, and stocked tires, but several people make that sized tire.

I personally find BFG's pretty overpriced for their performance and life.
If the mold exists, they will make anything. It usually takes a call from their regional distributor. The RVXT is only a few years old, so I doubt they would go to the expense of making a mold, and not run it on request, but, like many LT sizes, it may not get enough call to stock it. Don't rely on what you find on the internet as gospel, or the be-all and end-all. Sometimes, realtime communication will get you more info.
It isn't that I don't have time to look something up on the computer, it's just that it frequently isn't accurate.

based on everything i have read and what i intend to do with the truck, i am going to keep looking for a slightly smaller diameter tire.

so... 4 255/85/16 with 1/2 tread left are for sale, first $40 gets them

Which Radial Rover are they? There's 3 tread patterns. And, where are you? All Dunlops seem to develope cracks around the bead, but thats the thickest part of the sidewall, and has never given me a problem.
