Default -28 Celcius last night... thump...thump...thump...

For the first three blocks to work this morning, I felt like I was riding a horse. So cold out I was driving on square tires.

You wouldn't happen to have any fix a flat in your tires would you? How long was your vehicle sitting?

Just seems a little wierd that tires would do that at that temp! What the hell was the windchill? Just curious. It has been a long time since I experienced temps like that..... and I guess I'm crazy.......but I miss it!

Hope all is well.

Tires sitting even over night can develop flat spots. the softer the tire the more they do it, then cold (extreme in your case) keeps the tire stiff and from warming until a couple miles down the road when the tires warm and become more plyable the flat spot goes away. Happens to most of my BMW's every day in the winter.

and for offroad Bias Ply do it more than Radial's

Just saying, never happened to me. Even back home when the clippers brought in the -40 or more degree temps.! My buddy backed out of his garage for work one morning and had his rear windshield shatter, but no probs with tires. I can see it on soft compound low pros though.

This planet's changin' or something. Last night when I rolled into my hometown in Michigan, it was 60 F, and it was t-storming! Today the high was in the 30s! It really sucked, cause I was removing my running boards. I hate working in the cold. I've lived in a cold climate my whole life and I still haven't gotten used to it yet. I know it's weird, but I'd like to go to a warmer climate, like Florida. Work with my shades on or something.

Just sitting over night. We've had a really mild winter this year, one day of a cold snap is no biggie. Although I think you've had a few too many wobbly pops to be missing this stuff

If it's cold and windchill you're looking for, Winnipeg is the city for that.

This planet really is changing! I was watching the news, like CNN or MSNBC for some reason, and I came across a town in the Philippines was wiped out by a freak landslide, the worse in the history of the country.

Apparently, over there it is generally dry this time of year, no rain until late May, early June. It had rained everyday for weeks on end. This chain of mountains in the region over there had saturated so much rain water that one whole of one mountain had collapsed in a freakish landslide trapping over 1500 people, and covering a whole town. In the picture it appears the mud is hardening and will make recovery of anything buried underneath it near impossible.

The image is a little fuzzy but it makes the point.

The area in brown is a few square miles of town, farm land, and an elementary school. Not good at all.

You're right, it's beautiful country up here. I'm a fan of having four seasons. Next month, I'm getting one of these - http://www.fleetwoodrv.com/evolution/decor.aspx and spend more time outside.
