Default Anyone run the trXus 34x12.5-16 (or 15)?

I have heard these are a true 34" mounted, confirmation? What rim size/width did you use?

Kevin, Interco has a decent web site that should give you all the information you need on thier tires.
Gives a pretty good break down on sizes and such. I don't know if you've seen it or not but here it is.

Yup, true 34

Running on 16x8 steelies, 4.25 b/s

We already talked, but for those who might search this thread:

Postivies: Solid all-around traction (rocks, trails, mud). Run well on street for an aggressive radial MT. Wear well- like BFGs. Come pre-siped. Very strong side-walls. The center channel & large lugs help them clean out better than most radial MTs. Good price. Nobody else that I'm aware of makes a tire in this size, which seems a perfect choice for built Discos & RRCs: much bigger puts too much strain on drive train, much small looks too damn small (especially in a DII w/ those giant wells).

Negatives: Very strong sidewalls mean limited flexibility. I found this hurts traction a bit on big rocks even when aired down. The 34/1250's are E, so this may not effect all sizes as # of plys vary. DO NOT air down these tires below about 18-20 psi as they have a habit of running off the bead. IMO this is due to limited sidewall flex.

Published tire sizes and real measurements have surprisingly little coorelatation , especially between brands.

I think published sizes and technical data would be two different things.
But anyway, what Steve said.

Oh, one other thing:

DO NOT air these tires down in mud !!! There's no need. And the lack of sidewall flex can really ruin your day when the beads are packed w/ mud & they side-impact against ruts.

(ask me how I know.....)

FWIW, I am running these in a 32" on my RRC. the actual size I got is a 235/85-16. only had them on a couple weeks, but so far they seem to be an excellent tire with good offroad traction in rocks and mud and they are well behaved on-road too.

Perhaps mounting them on a 16x7" wheel would help with the bead retention. I know one club member who had issues with the 235/85-16 on 16x7s and went to NATO steels at 16x6.5" for better retention and has had no issues since.
