Debating between the Nitto Terra Grapplers and the Nitto NT420S. Rarely go offroading, so i dont need a very aggressive tred. the reviews that i have read for both tires are very good, but i am wondering if anyone has heard anything about or uses the Nitto NT420S? The reviews i have read at discount tire are very good (a little better than the grapplers) for the Nitto NT420S, but i havent heard anyone here discuss them. Any comments on the Nitto NT420S?
I have an 03 disco with 18inch wheels. here is a link to the Nitto NT420S: Tire Reviews - Discount Tire Direct |

I've been running the 420S's on my '02 Range 4.6 w/ 18" wheels...
I absolutely love them! I use these for my all around driving, and have another set of tires/16" wheels for offroading. When i bought the truck, it had the factory Michelin's on it, and these were a significant upgrade. Reading the description of the tires they claim to have a stiffer outer sidewall for stability, and I can personally verify this from experience. The Rangie holds the curves much much better. I can't remember if they have a mileage warranty, but I'm around 40k-45k miles on them and the tread has worn perfectly. I know I should have, but I've never even had them rebalanced since they were first mounted 2 yrs ago. I just rotated them on my own. It's about time to replace these, and I'm gonna get another set of the 420S's. I just can't say enough about these tires. Good luck, and if you do get them, please reply with your impressions of them.

I also have the 420S's on my 06 Trailblazer SS and they are great from what I can tell. I had goodyear OEM's on there before. (Whichever came with the truck) and they were awful. I've noticed alot of dealerships are now using the 420s's on their aftermarket wheel packages. They weren't too bad price wise either...Great tire IMHO
