Default Best Source and Recommendation Series III Wheel and tire

Hey Guys ( and Gals )

Once again looking for directions.

What would be the best source for steel ( black ) wheels for a 71 SIII 109?

I could go for a good use ( no problem with color as I can paint them ) set of 5 or new if not used available.

If new what size ( I know there could be a gain on offset but not sure ) of rim and what would be a good all around tire ( I mean mud/snow )?.

Thanks again

The NATO rims look very nice on a series. RN or AB sell them I believe. There was a used set of Natos for cheap on DWEB as well. 5 for 150 plus shipping I believe. May have to go back a couple pages but they were there recently. They are 16 inch too. Other than that look for a set of original rims and paint them black. Stephen Peters at Safari Rovers probably has a set of the stock ones.
For tires the old 7.50 x 16 is the route I would recommend or possibly the 215/85/16 which are very similar. The Mastercraft M/T 7.50s look the part and there are several vintage bias ply solutions if you want something that appears more original, but you may lose some ride quality. Gorod

Default Great

I looked on dweb for them , but I couldn't find them ( other than the one from Nick N, he sold them ).
I'll give Stephen a call tomorrow, and will check with RN & AB

Thanks
