Default best tires for a 99' disco series 2

What do you guys think is the best tire for my truck? I am using the stock 17'' rims and I do alot of off-roading, but it is my primary vehicle.

Hey guys when i was filling on the pole options i didnt mean to put nitto mud grapplers even tho they are nice tires, i think they are a bit over kill for a daily driver with weekend offroading. I meant to put nitto dura grappler's or even the terra grappler's.

Find yourself some 16" wheels and buy some BFG M/T's if you do alot of wheeling. Even though your driving your truck daily, if you rotate your tires religiously you'll get better than 40K out of those mud tires.

I went with the 32", 265/75/16 Yokohama GeoLandar M/T's. Much less road noise than any other M/T. And even quieter than BFG A/T's. I have 15k on mine now. 75% onroad driving. Out of that 15K, I still have over 80% tread life yet. Good sidesiping and bite as well. If I weren't going to run an M/T, I would run the GeoLandar A/T. Superior tire to any that you listed. But for the poll choices only, I pick the A/T KO.

BTW; did you mean you have the 16's? There was never a stock 17" offered???

If you do a lot of off road driving, like you say, I can recommend Interco TrXus tires. Have em, love em. Great on roads, great on trails, not too brutal on the wallet.

I was nervous about the big lug tires before I tried them, but I use MT/R's daily for the last 5 years. 235/85's, 285/75's and soon 35x12.5

If I got BF Goodrich Mud-Terrains rather then the All-Terrains, should I get the KM or the KM2? Whats the difference? Will both of these sets of tires work on stock 16'' rims on a discovery with no lift?

BFGoodrich Tires | Tire Catalog | Off-Road

Thanks a lot,
-Nick

You do not have to worry about it as they do not make a size for your stock rover in 16 or 18 inch rim in the KM2's.

So yeah, get the older KM's.
