Word! I agree to that 100%

Depends on the width of the tire. 235/85-16 and 265/75-16 are a little more then 31.5" tall and 9.3" and 10.4" wide respectively. 245/75-16 are 30.5" x 9.6"

Edit:
Quick FYI on metric conversions.
1" ~ 25.4mm
Metric tires are width/aspect - rim diameter
Tire height = ((W/25.4)*AR)*2 + R

Any opinions? pictures??
Those rims will look like CRAP on your white disco. Therefore, you should GIVE them to ME. I will not charge you for giving them to me either as I will do this out of the kindness of my heart. You would be doing the Rover community a disservice by putting those on YOUR truck. I would be willing to drive (in shame) with those black wheels on MY truck.

You are truly a philanthropist. As much as I appreciate your offer, I feel I must don these rims despite the shame that I will endure...

I've thought about those my next tires size upgrade after these is going to be either 255/85's or 285/75's I like the idea of the 255's better because I think the 285's are a bit wide but look good on a defender. But I can get the 285's as retreads for about half the price of the 255's

But I need to get at least an inch more lift and 4.11 gears with HD axles before the new tires so it's still a long time off. But it's good to have a plan for these things you know.
I have some friends who went away from the 255/85r16 to the 285/75r16 because of the extra width adding stability. I took their advise so I never tried the 255's, but they were pretty convincing. Moab and Colorado mountains are where my friends use their rigs.

I run them on stock rims (alloys because they look better and are well protected by the wide tires even at low psi).

Hope this helps.
