Default considering a 255/70/16 upgrade..

Anyone here run these on a stock DI? Likes? Dislikes? Also.. can one of these fit on my spare mount with no problems? Or eff it & stay with the stock 235/70/16's? I really Don't want to compromise handling and/or mpg over tire height/width. She is a DD with moderate wheelin'.. no crazy stuff.

Well drum655 (Josh), I believe the tires he used to run, which are now my current tires he sold me (255/65/16) fit on his DII. The 255/65/16 isn't too much higher than mine, at least I'd think. I don't think you'd have issues.

Other Disco dudes will chime in though, that is just my $0.02.

I have no idea what I am going to do here.. I guess just get a used XPC for a spare.. Since they don't make them anymore anyway..new is out of the question, a new one price-wise.. would have been out of the question anyway.. & the XPC replacement = Synchrones are not getting the best reviews. I do have plenty of tread left on my 4.. so new tires will have to wait. Man.. Will Tillery has a XPC but he is so damn far from me.. uggg.. Tires are the most unfun part of dealing with my truck..

When I bought the D1 it had 255 65 16's on it. Plenty of room I don't think you'll have issues with 255 70 16's. Probably a miniscule difference in diameter, if any.
