Sam's Club - BFG AT's in 265/75R16 for $160 each. Best I could do, and free maint. coast to coast.

whats the biggest tire (BFG A/T) you can go on an 18" factory wheel without rub? if you got an idea thats great, if not...oh well

The smallest size of BFG AT for 18" rims is 32" diameter if I recall (265/65R18). They go all the way to sky for bigger sizes.


Problem is that I want to maintain an element of ride quality in the city. The AT's are 10 ply. Thats a rough ride. I think the best option is to run BFG mud-terrains on 16" Steel rims for my happy hour, and the 18's with more sedate rubber for the city and normal driving.

The reduction in diameter also helps with milage, as well as the reduction in overall tire weight.
