Strange that it lists a 32" tire almost capable without a lift and a 33" tire needs 3" of lift.

I might rethink my plan a little. I was going to go with a good stock sized all-terrain on my 18's for normal driving and some off-road use (like winter) and I wanted to go with a dedicated mud-terrain on 16's.

I have to get some tires on before the end of the month so I might throw on a set of 265/65R18 BFG All-terrains and then work out the boggers or other tires a little later. I think those will work excellent for my needs, but the at 10 Ply (load range E) its a little stiff.

Any thoughts on an all-terrain? Toyo Open Countries? Grabbers?

I have the OME 779 and 762 springs and will be putting on 255/85/ r16's (BFG KM2) this winter. I am running 285/60/ r18's (nitto grapplers) at the moment and see more than enough room to accommodate the 33's. Though I am going to try to put on lucky 8's body lift and RTE 1" spacers by the fall. Anyways With an after market or trimmed front bumper I am sure 33in tires will fit with the OME lift.

I've run 265/75's on a DII with the RTE 2" lift. They didn't even come close to rubbing.

Someone once told me to build your truck around your tires. Whatever he was on about.

Im going with an RTE front bumper whenever I get my ass around to ordering one. If 33's dont fit with an OME lift, I'll just do a body lift or alot of trimming I think.

Anyways folks, Im accually going to go hit the trails for a couple hours. I'll have a damage report, if any tonight maybe.

Boggers are cool, but I have been on a few runs with people that are using newly aquired Boggers.(Jeeps mostly) and have seen 2 different incidents where they where in a mud rut and doing some wheel speen and busted an Axel.

I would not run the boggers un less heavy duty Axels where installed on the Rovers.(Just to be sure.)

I was with the Jeep pictured on page one. He was worried about the front axle only being a Dana 30 but was reassured he should be alright since he doesnt have a locker. The back is a Dana 35.

It was pretty muddy out there and the trails were.......pretty chewed up, like some kinda super monster truck went through every possible place a truck can fit. I spent most of my time in a quad.

Quit trying to run 2 different sets of wheels and buy a set of SSR's for everything.

Problem is it says it recommends a 16x10 Rim. Where can one get a set of those puppies?

The next size up is availiable to fit a 16x8 rim, but its a 33, which is too big for me at the moment.

Thoughts? I love these tires. They work great around here.

If you are looking for wheels and are willing to stick to a 10.5 wide tire, why not look for a set of BMW steel wheels in 15inch. The offset is absolutely perfect, I have no rubbing with 31x10.50 tires and no lift. They look great in black on my white Disco.

The stud holes need to be enlarged, due to the DII 14mm studs vs. the beemer 12mm. I did it myself on a drill press with a bit I ground to a 60 degree taper to match the lug nuts. It could be done inexpensively by any machine shop. The rear brake dust shields need to be removed, but the fronts cleared, no problem.

I picked the wheels up from craigslist locally for $120.

Sounds like a deicent way to go. Thanks for the tip.

So as an update, Im running 265/65R18 BFG AT's for my 'Normal' tire. Later in the fall, I'll probably look into running a set of at least 33" boggers. Im going to install a CDL, Upgraded Axles front and rear as well as Air Lockers beforehand in perparation.
