Default Dunlop Radial Rover R/T or General Grabber AT2

I'm in the process of adding a RTE 2" lift to my DII and will run 265/75-16 tires. Has anyone used either of these tires before. I like them because they are both fairly aggressive and carry the RMA snowflake for severe snow conditions. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

I had General Grabber A/T's on a Pathfinder back in the '80's that were impressive but have no idea what they are like today.

I've had the Dunlop R/T's on my Rovers for a long time and swear by them. The price is right, they last forever and they are amazing in snow as well as mud. They're not too loud on the road and they even do well in the rain. Overall, an excellent choice for an all around tire.

Next to the old BF Goodrich Trac Edge, the Dunlops are my favorite tire on the market.

I found out they aren't making the Dunlops anymore but I found this tire today while out shopping.http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/catal...p-truck/7.html
Does this replace the Trac Edge?

I just had a quote today from the tire shop I always do business with (a dozen in the last year) For the Radial Rover RTs. I presently have a set of them on my 110 and they have been nothing but great. One of his suppliers said he couldn't get them, another said he could, and did.

The BFG Commercial T/A sucks. Run away from that tire. I don't know what BFG was thinking in replacing so capable a tire as the Trac Edge with that POS. The Trac Edge, in case anyone is unfamilar, had aggresive outer lugs similar to what you'd find on the BFG M/T's while the center tread was more like an A/T. Overall, it was the best of both worlds.

The Dunlop R/T is very similar to the Trac Edge in its tread design. It would be a crime if Dunlop ceased production of the R/T.

I had 4 new General Grabber AT2's fitted last week - 255/70/16. Good price $118 fitted & balanced each. They are of course louder than what I had before (Bridgestone Dueler HT's), but you soon get used to it. Don't know how load other AT's are. The ride feels smoother even at higher tire pressure. Fairly aggressive tread. So far, I'm pleased.

These are the Dunlop (235x85R16) Radial Rover RTs they "aren't making" anymore. They have gone up in price a bit since I bought them for my 110, but are readily available.

My wife has a set of the Generals on her 4.6HSE, and it rides like a dream. I wasn't sure how they would feel, but on a 750 mile trip they were great. The Generals can be a pain to balance, and they have a pretty good rim guard, but once you get them right, they seem to do fine.
