I am looking for some word on what is a good tire in soft sand. I have an 04 Disco II SE with stock wheels on 18 inch stock rims. I can not do any lift to the truck and do not want to have to cut the wheel weels for much larger wheels. Any thoughts would be great!

I would use what you have until you need to replace them
just air down and you should not have any problems. I currently run 245/75/16 BFG KO with OME HD shocks & springs. every year So Cal Land Rovers Club has a outting to Pismo Beach and all we do is drive on sand, lots of guys have stock tires and do well. check out the web site sclr.org some of the post have photos of that event. Irrespective of the size of the tire you want to run on soft sand, you will need to air down, so just be happy with what you already have.

I have seen some folks put the uni directional Pro-Comp the oposite dierection from what is should be. I think they were trying to get the tractor effect. might not be good when it rains..
