Default Got my new tires

Just mounted my Firestone Destination M/T's. I was using Interco Truxus M/T's, and now I couldn't be happier. The Firestones ride really nice, much smoother than the Truxus. Much better on the highway too. Tomorrow I might be trying them offroad if time permits. I'll post the comparison. Until then here's some pics.

I have been looking hard at these tires for my next set. I'll be curious to read your report after you have put a few miles on them on and off road.

They look great on the rig!

You won't like them so much when they start chunking.

My buddy has them on his jeep, they do really well off-road on about any surface and clean out very well(no chunking either). Just get them rotated frequently. His have gotten noisy after a couple of years where as they were pretty quiet when he first got them, but they have decent road manners. Tiny washboard feel when driving slowly like in a parking lot, but smooth once you get going.

Your going to really like them.

Great looking Disco by the way.

How's the gas mileage with them? I've got a set (plus spare) of 34" SuperSwampers for serious offroading, but for daily driving I want a tire that still looks pretty aggressive yet still gets decent gas mileage becuase I hate looking at my Disco setting there with 'Dueler' tires on it just becuase the swamper's can't be used everyday.

Wolf, i run 235/85 R16 buckshot mudders on my truck. They are MTs and aggressive but obviously not as much so as your swampers. I get better mileage with them than i did with my 235/70 R16 street tires i had before. Probably because, although they are both 235, the mudders have a narrower tread section.

Those look nice, I would have them put the letters inside though, just me, but it looks good. Gordo

Every tire loses lugs in certain situations..

Anyway, I love my firestone's and they mud better than my friend's TSLs (I swear. I'm not exaggerating. Though, he has a jeep.. that may make a difference. These tires just clear out so well it's amazing)

Here is some pics of 285's

Pete; Your father should take the truck back simply for the white letters facing out. My lord, man. That's embarrassing!

Yes. Very true. But now make sure the fags don't follow you. Oh, I meant fads. Of course.

lmao. I just like the way it looks with the white. I like firestones font. My nittos were black and they didn't look as good to me.

Get on that swampthings forum already!
