Your not listening, you will spend your money twice if you get the 245/75s. Once you lift it you will immediately regret the smaller tire. I've driven cross country on 265/75 MTR's. The ride will be the same on the highway, just a little louder. Your mileage won't change much, it sucks now anyway, accept it.

Front truck is a D2 on 245/75-16 MTRs, my truck is the rear one on 265/75-16 MTR's both with 2" OME lift.

Here it is with the OME 3" lift(751's in front and 781 rear with a 1" spacer I made) also a Greg Davis rear bumper has been added. Same 265/75-16 MTR's.

I'm listening man, but as you have picked up I'm very concerned about putting 265/75 MTR's on a stock stuspension for even two months with the amount of driving I do. I can picture myself rubbing going over the speedbumps etc.. or hitting a huge bump on the interstate and there goes a huge chunk of my treat etc.. Granted I will hopefully have the lift on near the end of December but thats still a a month or two with rather large tires on a stock suspension. Correct me if i'm wrong. BTW I think you guys have convinced me to get the MTR' I'm really liking the new Firestone MTR's or maybe the goodyear. I appreciate all the help I'm getting its really helping me out. And Kelly thank very much for those pics.

Alrighty I have you quoted as saying that I appreciate all your help. I think for best bang for the buck i'm looking at the Wrangler MTRs in non other than 265/75/16.

Even lifted you MAY rub on the front radius arms at full lock, It is a very simple adjustment of the steering stop bolts to correct this. I'm just trying to keep people from making some of the mistakes I've made in building up a couple of trucks.

Have details on what I am going to need to do to the steering stop bolts? I want to know what I am going to be up against

I'd agree with the 265's at this point if you have a 4.6, they do make significantly more power than the 4.0. I had an 03 for a loaner one time and was pleasantly surpriesed getting on the freeway and around town. Much better acceleration. .

New Rumor. I've talked to a few others that say these 265's I've ordered may rub on my front bumper. Anybody heard this before?

Do you still have a stock front bumper? If so you may rub the corners of it when turning, just trim it back a bit, it's just plastic.

Sorry should have asked sooner about the bumper but everyone either replaces them or trims the bottom half off anyway.

Yup this is a purely stock ride man converting from 18 inchers to the 16". Only things not stock are the body protection ($G sliders, southdown diff guards).

So much for reselling my factory bumper when I get my aftermarket one. I'm not a big fan of doing any trimming honestly but if this will make those tires work for the time being I'll do it. Anybody have and pictures?
