Thats great thanks. Obviously I've never trimmed a vehicle before what tools would I need to make this look professional and to keep it smooth and straight.

I am going to put the 245/75R16 Wrangler MTR's on my truck hopefully in just a couple of weeks. Not sure yet on a lift, but I deal with that if I have to. Can't wait to see how different the truck looks with 16" wheels and tires, vs the 18" wheels and tires.

I have no idea on what tools you need to use...the shop had it done for me
I remember they used grinder, but I thing that was for the metal that's sticking out when you trim the lower corner.

I recently installed 265/75/16's BFG mt's on my truck and the only rubbing I have had was on the front mud flap that is cast into the OEM side steps (when I have a some time, I'm instantly going to rip those things off).. I trimmed about 5mm off a sharp edge on the inside and that did the trick. the rears are good to go without any trimming.
I'm still going to do a 2" lift... Dan |

I already took my front mud flaps off when I installed my sliders. Do you have any pictures of what you had/need to trim. I'll be getting my tires in soon.

I would at least go 265/75/16, especially if your planning to lift it. I expected mine to be a bit wider than the 255/55/18 they replaced, but the overall tire looks thinner. I dunno, the 30x10.5x15 I had on my Blazer looked beefy. I regret not going with the 285/75/16. A small tire looks wrong on lifted a Disco. Ya I know, looks don't count. ![]() Dan |

Sorry, I don't have pictures, but since you removed your flaps, you should be already good to go. Totally streetable. Just don't go full blast hard-core off roading until you do a lift. Dan |
