Unhappy Kalahari wheels value?

Hey guys. It's been awhile since I've been online here.
I bought this 02 Kalahari almost 6 months ago. Apparently hitting a deer at 70 MPH will total it...
Anyway, the insurance company is paying it off part of what I owe. They also said I could sell the wheels since it's "not of any value" to them. So what do you think the 5 rims on my Kalahari are worth? They're the blackish/gray rims that are pretty rare.
Let me know what you guys think. I was told by a LR dealer I could probably get at least 3K for them.
Thanks,
E~

3k for them? I'd say more along the lines of $300 for them... maybe upwards of 600 if you find someone who REALLY likes them..

3k that would never happen in all seriousness. I would guess 3-500 realistically and the $500 being on the high side.

Well that sucks. Hopefully I can get at least $500 for them then. In my opinion, that seems pretty cheap. Only $100 per rim?

16" D2 rims go for on average, $300 for the set of 5... the extra $200 is the premium for them being kalahari rims... your best bet is to list them on EBay and let the market place decide the value.. could be someone out there who wants them enough to pay $2k for them.. .

Your dealer was nuts. LR dealers sell those wheels brand new for less than 400 per wheel. The market drives it, but brand new it would cost less than 2k for a set of 5. I paid I believe 200 for my last one, and paid a premium simply because I needed only one, so I could have two spares (directional m/t tires). But in all honesty 500-600 for a set of 5 plus shipping would be reasonable, depending on condition. Drop a line to StolenHeron on here, he was looking for a set for his DII a while back.

BTW; if you want to sell the lights let me know. I need a couple of more to match my Kalahari's for the roofrack, lol.

Sorry, those were shoved up a deer's ass @ 70mph...

If I'm only gonna make a couple hundred, screw it. They can go to the scrap yard with the rest of the rover... Not worth my time unless someone comes to NC and gets them.

500 is 500, no matter which way you look at it. lol! Seems like a little amount of time for a good payout. 30-45 minutes to take them off. If you make more than that an hour, you must be a lawyer, lmao!

Could you post some pictures of your ride, I just wanted to see how a disco holds up to hitting a deer at 70mph?

The hell with getting out in the cold and using a gun...just chase them thru the woods...

If I lived near NC I'd come take them off your hands...They'd make a good second set for my Disco

I would be interested in buying an extra rim for my Kalahari, but I'm sure the shipping would just kill me and I'm nowhere near NC

Do you have any pictures of your ride after you hit the deer? That's what would be interesting LOL
