Default The mods have begun

Got new tires on "The Phantom". They look great and ride way better than the stock Michelin XPC's. I credit Mack over at MuddyOval for inspiring me to go with the Hercules over the BFG AT's. There are no rubbing issues besides the spare squeaking over the bumper.

All I need now is the RTE 2" lift and I will be happy enough for a little while and I hope to get that going very soon.

I know you guys like photos so....

We were all anxious to get them on, these guys just wanted their space back:

LOL, Surely you can't be serious, that can;t be the real reason.Just found it a real interesting observation, and thought I'd get some reasons/opinions on the subject.
Personally,I know on my rover, when my rims get here, my tires will be mounted white wall out.

I used to like the white letters on the outside when I was a kid and had a Jeep, but for some reason I like the black letters out.

I guess some folks relate white letters on the outside with Jeepers/Bronco/Jimmy/Scout crowd.

BTW CptnRuss, I'm headed up to NH in a few weeks and a few of us get together on Tues night at a place south of Manchester. Would you be interested in joining us or is it too far from Boston?

Those tires look very rugged it will look real nice with a RTE 2 inch lift which is more like a 3 inch lift.

I prefer black. I had the tires on my jeep turned in too - it keeps the focus more on the vehicle plus I got sick of scrubbing with SOS pads It does look good on some trucks but I think white lettering would look cheezy on my LR3. Just my personal pref, which tends to be more minimalist though...it's your truck muddy you can do it how you like best!

Anyway, I will rock white letter out, I can always change it when I dislike it.
