Default Nato/steelies vs. black steel wheels from procomp or american wheels?

What is the difference between Nato style wheels and the black steel wheels you can pick up for like 40-60 bucks at 4wd stores?

thanks

The natos have the same offset as factory Steelies and the Aftermarket steelies have more backspacing therefore providing a wider stance! The Natos are also extremely tough wheels!

Sorry for the thread hijack.

Pick one of each up and you will know the difference. The center web of a NATO (Wolf) rim is 6mm thick. I think you would be hard pressed to bend one of them.
They are available from RN, AB, probably others. I got mine from RDS, but he doesn't have any now.

Do you need steelies? People are giving away 16 inch alloy rims on ebay and craigslist. I picked up a set of range rover rims for 50 bucks, and i will paint them black (im actually thinking white). Just a thought.

I just bought 5 new NATO for my 109 Double Cab, and took the 4 carriage looking ones bad paint black and one original steel. You can have them for $ 50.00. You pick them up or pay for shipping.

They will fit Disco 1, Defenders and Series trucks
