One of the changes for my Disco I came back from Moab to make was that most of the like vehicles(Discovery's) had the steel wheels.I have new wheels coming hopefully tomorrow(16 x 8 Black Steels from OK-OffRoad) to replace the factory 16x7 Alloys.Anything (unforseen) that I should be aware of in the changeover?Going remount the existing tires(almost new 265/75/16 MT's)on the new units.Got the Alloys for sale if anyone interested.Look forward to a little wider stance(like the look as well).

Well,I have the new black steelies mounted and while they look great, they rub in multiple spots where there was none before.Had to get the hack saw, snips, and baby sledge out to do some wheel well editing but now I can drive it without rubbing.Just expedited timeline on rock sliders and fender flares and some real trimming.I really like the wider stance and all back look on my truck though.I'll take a few pics tonight and post.

Before and after pics? Should have had the offset changed to make up for the width difference, so you wouldn't have to worry about the rubbing. Good luck. Hope you like the end result.

Yeah,it's always something.Like I said I like the wider stance and don't mind modifying the wheel or body panels.Going to put on the fender flairs(and do the associated trimming) as well.Don't have any before pics(started cutting before that) but will have some pics tonight. Thanks for feedback.

Thanks on the new wheels. It gives it the "non grocery getter" look.Notice the stains on my new driveway from it leaking. It's the old Rover credo-"if it ain't leakin' it must be empty! It had a few new drips after the trip to Moab!
