I just purchased some BF Goodrich Long trail T/A tires for my disco 2. The size is 265/60/18. I was wondering if anyone had heard anything good or bad about them. The reviews on the website were good so I think I will be happy with them. They were only $108 each plus shipping so i got a great deal I hope. I have not actualy seen them in person yet they are scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Can't wait to get them on. I have had my Disco for almost 3 years now and the entire time I have had Toyo Proxes tires so I have not done alot of off roading. Hope that changes now.

You already bought them, whats the use in opinions now?
They are not really an "off road" tire but will do for mild stuff.

Getting dozens of different opinions can be very confusing and usually leaves you more confused than when you started. Your choice of BFG's is a good one, as they are one of the best brands around. If you are going to do any off-roading, then the BFG Mud Terrains would have been the better choice.

The AT KO's are a better choice.. there was someone on discoweb or here that got the long trails, and ended up selling them within a couple weeks to get the AT KOs... the long trails are really more of a street tire from what I've seen..

As an alternative to that, if you can find them, check out the General Grabber at2's. I have them on my D1 and they're great. Only about $90 a peice, 10-ply sidwall for the 265's, more agressive than the KO A/T's, but less agressive than the M/T's. It's basically a really agressive all-terrain tire with great strength and lugs.
