Default painting wheels

ok guys and girls, im fixing to start painting my wheels this weekend, any advice, i have some serious rock rash on the driverside wheels. I want them to look decent when im done...thinking of going black or a dark gray. Any help would be great!!!

Bama from your previous pictures Your Truck has a awesome look to it.

this is my opinion I would take out the center caps and paint the rims Flat Black.

This will give the rims a steel wheel look when in motion. Flat black rims with silver center caps.

heres is mine with that combo. The black D2 is mom's

BTW I have the same rim size and Tire size as you do.

if you have rock rash on one of your wheels, why not just replace it with a new one? painting it black isn't going to fix the rash, camouflage it, yes...

i would like to replace the two on the driverside yes, but have been unsuccesful in finding just two wheels to match, after i get the new ones i would like to paint them....and yeah i love the silver center caps

All I did with mine was sand them with some 220 grit paper to rough up the finish and give the paint something to hold to. then Wiped them clean solvent and sprayed them with a light coat followed by a heavy coat of paint. I would go with the Rust-Olium Flat Black Professional paint. It covers well and dries fast.

Plus if you paint them you'll be able to patch them easy enough when you beat them up. Eventually I'll probably go with steels but for right now this works.
