Default Process of buying tires...

calling around asking for prices for tires and sizes I want and he tells me that the size i want is to big for my truck... and then asks me what my stock tire size is.... and bla bla bla at the end of the conversation he told me the best thing was to come in for him to look at it so he can decide what tire will fit on my truck...does that sound weird?

A lot of places won't mount 'bigger than stock' tires on your truck. Do research on this board based on your truck, lift, needs, price.. then either shop around locally for the best price, or find a place locally that'll allow you to drop ship the tires from some place like summitracing.com then mount & balance them.

Don't listen to tire shop guys... you'll end up spending more money and be unhappy... we base our decisions off of real world experience with running certain tires on Land Rovers... they generally base theirs off of seeing a wide variety of tires on passenger cars.
