As this thread shows,

We removed the 18" rims with Pirelli Scorpion STR's 255/55R18 109 H M+S tires (Which I will make someone a great deal on, beautiful tires unless you take them off road )

We added the 16" rims with BFG Mud TR's 265/75R/16

We already had added OME lift kit; I think it is 2" maybe 3"? (Heavy duty springs so I can switch the bumper)

The lights are: 2 Hella H4000 driving lights on the front &
4 Hella mm 300's also driving lights, across the hanibal rack.

On the rear of the rack is a Hella Work light on a swivel mount.

I still have a huge shopping list though:
Front & rear bumpers
Sliders
Snorkel
Hannibal awning
And I am designing (in the works) a rear interior shelf system

It will never end:

Before I even saw this thread and on the way down to MAR, my wife and I were talking about what we want to do for tires and rims and came to the concensus that black rims were the way to go. At MAR we saw U2RA Winner's rig and both went nuts over it. (Looks better in person by the way). He wasn't around at the time were were drooling and gawking but we took a couple photos to reference.

I can't figure out why LR hasn't made black rims an option, besides the steelies, since they look so good.

As soon as we get our lift and tires purchased, our rims are getting blacked out too.

I painted my old alloys quite some time ago...after reading a thread on another forum where everyone flamed the dude for painting his wheels black....they all flamed the kid and said it made his rig look like a POS and junk.

That was enough for me I rattle canned my wheels as soon as I could...lmao

keep in mind though I actually sanded the hell out of mine and then did about 10 coats or primer....and then about 4 coats of paint....now I just carry a rattle can around with me of the paint and if I screw them up I just thouch them up really quick.

Love the look myself even though I still want the steelies from GCR.

Just for the record I run 265-75-r16's with an OME HD Springs and have never trimmed anything as suggested you have to do by experts on other forums and I never rub a thing...and never have.

Here is a picture of my Freelander with painted rims. The anthracite / gun metal / graphite colour is easy to respray any scuff marks.

Here they are clean...

And here they are dirty...
