Default Simex Jungle and extreme Trekkers

Alright Guys, its getting rediculous I have a NEED for some Simex jungle or extreme trekkers. Does anyone know if we can get these in the states or have someone roll them across the border under a barbed wire fence ? something .... they are so sexy and they look unstoppable. Everything i read indicates the same

I can get them from the UK but I found another source ... only problem is they have been very slow in getting back to me. I keep bugging them every week but I haven't gotten a date yet. As soon as I hear from them I'll let you know.

http://www.washbrook.net/index.htm I found this too John don't know if this is another option.

Some things i've read on D90 suggest that the enormous traction of these tire can wreck havoc on the driveline have you heard seen or experienced anything like this? I mean that makes sense but one guy compared driving on road with them to a helicopter both in vibration and noise HAHA.

Come on overseas people chime in with experience

I had the pleasure of meeting Norman Hall and know his website.

Yes they are noisey and hard and will put alot of stress on your stock driveline, that's why I've been preparing my Disco with HD equipment.

The SImex tire isn't for everyone, specially for a daily driver.

Hey I have 2" rovertym HD springs and will be getting +2" procomps and lines and dislocation cones here shortly, I am also strongly considering a 2" RTE body lift making the total lift nearer to 5" since the RTE HD spring were more like 3" how big of a tire could I squeeze under there. I have trimmed my fenders and currently run 265/75/16 MT's. I would be getting a dedicated offroad set of wheels to run the Simex on.

How big could i go with Nearly 5"s and trimmed fenders?

I would guess a little more $$$$ as they must come from elsewhere and there is no US distributor

Yeah you're right, but if it is in the $300 a tire range, that is insane for a person driving a DD! I can see if it was a trail rig or a trials vehicle or something.......

Thats why its not recommended for on-road daily driving use If it was to cost 300/tire, and used as only offroad wheels, you'd get years of use out of it, because youre not going to be traveling anywhere as far offroad as onroad.

DP - it isn't the lift you would have to worry about so much with larger tires, as it is the rest of the drivetrain. especially if those really have the amount of traction they say. you'll be popping cv's and axles like candy with anything larger than a 33". i would say stick with 265/75 until you upgrade those weak links.
