ok im going to be buying some new Bridgestone Deuler AT Revo tires soon well I what size I want I just don't know what load rating I need. I don't pull much and I don't have much of heavy parts on my car. i might load up with climbing gear everyonce in a while but no that much. so there is none, C , or E. which would be best. i drive a 97 disco 1 with 2 in lift.
thanks ryan

With the weight od a Disco, I would sy to go to at least a "D", 8 ply rated tire, don't go to a "E", 10 ply rated tire, they run too hot and don't last as long or ride as well.
The 265/75/16 BFG MT's I am running are D's. Mike |

I'm not recommending E rated tires for a Disco I have them on mine but that's just because they are cheap retread mud tires. Personally I agree that they are a bit of a heavy tires and if I wanted to spend more money I probably would have gone with a lighter tire but for what I paid and how much I drive I can't complain. I was just wondering about your logic behind that statement.

Unless you are towing a goose neck trailer (I don't think you are) then go with Cs. They ride easier on the road, wear less, cheaper, and has better sidewall characteristics off road.
My BFGs are load range Es and my super swampers are load range Cs. Off road, the swampers flex so much better and airing down has a lot more positive effect. Load range Es are for like, 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. |

the load for the c's is 2205lbs per tire. E's are off the chart. I think the disco stock which mine basically is and will be this much for a while is about 4600lbs. so if the tire holds 2205lbs thats 8820lbs holding capacity thats well over the amount i need, right? so the c's should be just fine.

C's are fine for a Disco. E's are ok too. But E will give you a much harsher ride. All my tires are E's, except the OEM that I don't run anymore.
