Tires - Land Rovers Only

Looking for thoughts on tire comparison between BFG All Terrain T/A KO's and Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo's. Anyone running these tires?

I don't have experience on the Dueler but I run BFG TA/ko and am a HUGE fan. I've run difficult trails w/ the BFG all terrains and never had a problem. Also run them thru deep mud. Very strong sidewalls, which is important to me because they take a beating on rocks. The only problem I've had with them is on tightly packed greasy mud like we get out here in CO. In fact it's been raining here today so I snuck out to some new building sites for a little fun (

) and went sideways sliding on this type of mud as if it were black ice. Not sure if mudders would have been different, though, b/c it wasn't loose,,,it was just,,,weird.

They are also excellent in snow and have done well for me on ice as well, relative to mud terrain tires which tend to slide easily

It really depends on what sort of terrain you are going to use your vehicle?

if you are looking for best traction in mud or snow then BFG's are hard to beat for an all around tire. I used BFG trail terrain's on my '92 Ford when i was in high school (yes i know, not a lr vehicle lol) but, i was able to go places that friends with big 33" and 35" tires of other makes never dreamed of.

I've had nothing but good luck with BFGs, they are my tire of choice, and I think slightly less money than the bridgestones...

BFG's! I ran them for a couple years on my Jeep and loved them.

I've had those BFG ATs in the past. While they are an excellent all around tire, I did find that they caked up with mud pretty quickly...but that's fine, they aren't a mud tire. If you don't hit a lot of deep, syrupy mud then you should be fine with them.

I know a few people who have run the Revos and they have similar reviews...great tire, just don't use it in thick mud...

When I bought the BFGs for my old Xterra, I chose between these two and went with the BFG only on price as I felt the performance between the two would be pretty similar.

I replaced the 31" Bridgestone Revos with BFG KOs on my son's Wrangler for a trip to Moab in March. He says the difference is astounding. It was snowy and muddy and the KOs handled it all easily.

A bonus is in mileage. He gets noticeably better gas mileage with the KOs. The KOs may need huge balancing weights (the Revos were tiny) but offroad there is no comparison.

The Revos sure look sharp though.

Does anyone know what the largest size tire I can put on my '03 Disco S. Someone told me I can run 255-75-16's without any mods....any thoughts/insight?

Go with the BFG's! My D1 came with the Bridgestones when I bought it and they are terrible, glad I didn't spend the money to buy them. When I replace these tires( which will be soon ) I am going with a M/T. Just depends what you do with your truck.

Bernardman, on my wifes 2000 D2 she is running a 245/75/16 BFG M/T with stock suspension.

I have the BFG At's and love them.

I have more tread now then when they were put on the wheels.

Haha...steven, I do the same thing man..lol...only thing is that i get to the sites when they've already started to bring the gravel in, so washing it afterwards s a PITA...Ive doen the same type of sliding you have when i had my ATs...scary as hek, cuz it happened in a pretty tight trail...i thought i was going into the trees that day

So what do you want to do with these tires. The BFG's are great AT's but not that great for all off roading. Have you considered the BFG MT's, great difference off the road and pretty quiet on the highway. By the way I have run 2 sets and 40,000 miles is easy to do.
