Default Tires for Discovery

Hi Guys,

This one has probably been done to death before, but what is the largest tire you can fit to a standard Discovery series 1. No lift, no cutting or chopping? Thanks in advance.

Here is some reading material for you, and I would say go with the 245/75/15's.

Hi there, I run on 225/75/16's Good Year MTR's but I do have a 1" lift though.

Handy little link here:

Before I sold my 96' I just replaced the tires with Dunlop Radial Rover R/T's in a 225/75-16. My 96' was stock with no suspension mods and I didn't have any problems with them fitting. These were the best tires I've ever owned. A huge difference over the stock XPC's. I highly recommend them.

No problems John

Another cracking site is http://www.sf.hiof.no/~frodehaa/disco.html.

Check out the tyre section, loads of info there.

With 2inch of lift I ran 245/75/16 BFGs and also had a set of 31x10.5x15 muddies
