I’ve read all the Tire Threads on the forum. And I spent all afternoon looking for tires and I now need LRO’s input.
I have a RRC LWB with a 2” lift awaiting new tires. I want the biggest tires possible with little or rub. (Could I go bigger than 245/75/R16?) And what would be a good aggressive off road tire but also great on road. (Daily Driver) I really like the cooper Mud Terrain SXT but is there better? Your Input would be Very Helpful. There are so many tires it’s hard to pick just one. ![]()

235 85 r 16 GY MT/R
My favorite tire ever on my RRC with the same lift. remember 205 was the intended tire, so 235 is wider and adding height is more beneficial than width in most situations.

235/85 16's BFG AT's the ride is very nice and they wear well...last for a good amount of time also!!! with the 2" lift the will fit fine.. there will be some rubbing on your control arm when you turn full tilt....but if that bothers you it can be adjusted to not rub at all!

I'd also suggest the 235/85-16. that is what I am running also with a 2" lift.
I picked up the Truxus MT. they are awesome offroad and are really pretty good on-road. if I were spending more time in the RRC around town, I would likely have gone with the BFG AT's instead of looking at MT's.

Bleed, as soon as you get the truck off road, you'll appreciate the extra 2 inches of ground clearance. I run the 245s and while I do love them, every now and then I wish I had more ground clearance between the ground and my diff. When you air down you'r 235s you'll end up at the same height of a 245/75 tire.
Now a skinny tire is nice because when driving through mud, since there isnt as much mass as say...a 10" wide tire...you can spin them around a little easier to clear out the lugs. ANd to answer the Q, my 245s rub on the drivers side on full lock Left.

The only other thought, I'm not sure either new size will fit in the spare tire location. I know the 235 won't unless you do some modifications of the stock spare site. I used this location to mount my Power Tank to a solid spot in the rear of the rig and my spare is strapped down to the floor (sold my roof rack... it wasn't me).
